Optical Communications

GigOptix provides a comprehensive portfolio of high performance, low power solutions for the traditional Optical Networking Telecom and Datacom markets, as well as the emerging Optical Interconnect Datacenter and Consumer markets. GigOptix leverages its legacy in broadband high-speed Microwave RF IC design to create a portfolio of high performance broadband drivers for Mach-Zehnder (MZ) and Electro-Absorption (EA) modulators, low power VCSEL drivers, as well as limiting and linear Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIAs) spanning 10G, 40G and 100G speeds. GigOptix is also first to market with its Thin Film Polymer on Silicon electro-optical polymer modulator technology that promises to improve the performance of optical modulators by significantly reducing power consumption and shrinking the size of the device.

ASIC

GigOptix offers the broadest portfolio of distinct paths to ASIC for your design with families comprised of technology ranging from 0.6u through 0.13u supporting designs of up to 10M gates under the ASIC Product Line. Based on your need for time to market, unit price and NRE, GigOptix offers Structured ASIC, Hybrid ASIC and Standard Cell ASIC solutions that will meet your requirements. Targeted for consumer, industrial, networking, medical, military and aerospace applications, GigOptix has a path to ASIC that is ideal for you.
