GigOptix’s driver portfolio spans a broad range of optical modulation technologies including VCSELs for sub-300m links, Electro-Absorption Modulated Lasers (EML) for 40km/80km links and Mach-Zehnder Modulators (MZM) for 120km/10km Metro/Long-haul links. GigOptix’s driver portfolio also addresses a broad range of communication standards including Ethernet, FiberChannel, Infiniband, SONET/SDH and 40G and 100G Metro and Long Haul transmission systems. GigOptix’s drivers are optimized for each application with short reach datacenter link drivers being optimized for low power consumption and ultra-long haul link drivers being optimized for high performance voltage outputs with excellent eye quality.
