GigOptix leverages its legacy in broadband high-speed RF design to create low power and broadband drivers for Mach-Zehnder and Electro-Absorption (EA) modulators as well as limiting and linear Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIAs) spanning 10G, 40G and 100G speeds.

Moreover, GigOptix's Thin Film Polymer on Silicon (TFPS) based LX modulator line offers compelling advantages in terms of increased bandwidth, smaller footprint and lower power consumption for 40G and 100G communications applications. GigOptix's proprietary materials are synthesized at the molecular level for optimal EO functionality. Our differentiated technology enables LX modulators to combine the fast switching speeds and low drive voltages with small form factor size.

TFPS Mach-Zehnder Modulators

GigOptix's Mach-Zehnder modulators are built using GigOptix’s proprietary Thin Film Polymer on Silicon (TFPS) Electro-Optic (EO) polymer based technology that offers compelling advantages in terms of increased bandwidth, smaller footprint and lower power consumption for 40G and 100G communications applications. GigOptix's TFPS materials are synthesized at the molecular level to deliver optimal EO performance. Our technology enables GigOptix modulators to combine fast switching speeds with low drive voltages and a small form factor.


Limiting & Linear TIAs


GigOptix leverages its industry leading RF design technology to create a portfolio of receiver amplifiers for 10G, 40G and 100G speeds for metro to ultra-long haul applications. GigOptix delivers high performance solutions where signal integrity and power consumption are at a premium.

The receiver amplifier portfolio consists of Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIAs) and Limiting Amplifiers (LAs) for differential and single ended requirements. Whether your ROSA requires high input sensitivity, high Transimpedance gain, low noise/jitter, low power consumption, or high voltage output (or a combination of all of these features) GigOptix can provide the solution.

DWDM Bundles

The DWDM Bundled Solutions represent what GigOptix believes is an industry first for a company providing a complete solution set comprised of a Transimpedance Amplifier (TIA), Thin Film Polymer on Silicon (TFPS™) Mach-Zehnder Modulator (MZM) with a matched driver for an optical communication applications. The Bundled Solution reduces customer engineering expenditure, accelerates time-to-market for new products and enables customers to leverage GigOptix's industry leading low power solutions with enhanced cost efficiencies. GigOptix's Bundled Solutions will address 40G DPSK, 40G RZ-DQPSK as well as Coherent 40G and 100G DP-QPSK applications.
